Praying for a financial implosion or collapse in the Chinese economy.  A huge adjustment is really needed for this red hot economy that never seizes to stop growing.  A reset will be good for the country in the long term; a pause in their growth will get everybody to double check if the whole country is indeed on par with the growth.  Or maybe only just a handful is benefiting.

Throughout the past decade, there were many nay-sayers on the Chinese economy.  The Communist government have always found a way to out-manuvered all the negative prediction.  I’m sure the current financial crisis will just as quickly whither into a bad nap by tomorrow for them.

Since we set-up a company in China almost 10 years ago, I’ve been watching how the Chinese economy literally flies on a monthly basis.  The transformation has just been amazing.  Nonetheless, I’ve also witnessed how the majority of the society is trying to catch up.  Although there had been progress, I think the gap between rich and poor is widening by at least the same rate as the growth in the general economy.

Nowadays, China has pretty much outbid itself as the World’s Factory.  It is delegating this title and responsibility to other developing countries.  Before you know it, anything “Made in China” will become a relic.

Just how good is the Chinese government in intervening in its growth and financial stability?  Despite of all the government corruption charges, financial collapse rumors, the Chinese government has managed to, not only keep both the political and financial landscape leveled, but also grew the economy year after year.

I prayed for a major adjustment to this unbelievable growth, but I know such an event is just very unlikely.  Instead of hoping that the era of “Made in China” will last longer, it’s probably smarter to diversify into something else.
